Something used to pump(suck) fluids out of car? I once worked at a car shop and we had this thing that had a pump, a tube, and a container that we used to suck the tranny fluid out of cars, whats the name of this thing, it looked like a big bike pump. |
| There are hand operated vacuum pumps . You can get on at Auto Parts store . |
Does life suck or is it just me and MY luck? Bought a used car; spent $1450.00 to get tranny fixed. Still won't go more than 100 miles before I have the same problems. Now the radiator is blown. Why do people take advantage of people that are just trying to get by? Is there not any honest people left? I think I understand why some people are so negative. I'm tired of being taken advantage of. Anyone want to buy a Merc. Sable? Also got a Buick Rivera. Both have new trannys! I'm going broke paying car ins. and cars sit in shop over a month.SORRY! Just had my fill today. My nickname is PIA. Pain in A--! Thanks for letting me vent!!! Sorry for sounding off!Any advice would help. |
Life is all in your attitude. If you think it sucks, then it probably does for you.

I have a '99 Dodge Dakota R/T -- with a shot tranny...? Should I replace the tranny...or suck it up and drive a shitty little sentra thats for sale in my area. |
| if you can get it to a transmission shop you can have them diagnose it for, you, there's no miracle cures in a bottle or a can as you already know, none that work anyway that i know of,the problems your having could be one of many things and if you can get it to a shop they might be able to give you an estimate on repairing it,id rather drive it as drive the nissan,if push comes to shove though driving the nissan would beat walking any day, good luck. |
Could transmission fluid on your lips trigger a cold sore? I was sucking tranny fluid through a hose and got some on my lips, now i have a cold sore. This is not my first cold sore i just was wondering if the tranny fluid my have triggered it. |
No, a cold sore is a viral outbreak - it had started well before the fluid touched.
It is in your body forever and will re-appear from time to time. |
Regarding the possibility of automatic tranny fluid being sucked into the engine manifold due to...? Regarding the possibility of automatic tranny fluid being sucked into the engine manifold due to a defective tranny modulator,... Would this burning of trans fluid only happen while moving or could it also happen while in PARK? Also, let's say that a car has this problem of trans fluid being sucked into the engine and burned,... wouldn't that stop if I disconnected the vaccum line to the tranny? ( You know, as a test with the car parked,... disconnect the line and see if you still get the smoke?) |
| Bandit answered both questions correctly! |
Will it look stupid to turbo a automatic transmission car? Will i see the same results in a supercharged honda civic automatic tranny, or would it suck compared to a manual transmission? |
No, there are a lot of automatic cars out with turbos, even from the factory.
However if you start driving it around like its some kind of race car, you will look like a total douche........ |
Why does my tranny whine when i put it in reverse? I have a manual transmission and when i put it in reverse and back up it whines and bucks a little ive been driving long enough that i dont suck at manual driving but i am no pro so.... yah anyway any answers will be great thx |
its normal.
On Transmissions The reverse gear has a Spur gear, which has straight teeth so when you put it into reverse and start going, the whining noise you hear is the teeth of the spur gear slapping together,
the reason you dont hear the noise in any other gear is because the other gears are called helical gears, which have like angle/beveled gears |
Does anyone have problems with their dodge transmissions? I bought a dodge durango about 5 months ago it only had 25,000 miles on it. after about a month of having it the transmission needed rebuilt! Well a few weeks later (now) it's in the shop again gettin it rebuilt. It's all under warranty, but it sucks! I luv the truck but the tranny in these things suck! and i have talked to other people with dodge's and they had to replace the tranny too! Any one out there with the same problem and how do u feel? |
| it depends on the year. the chrysler corp has had a Very bad history with transmissions, we had a 96 town and country that had its tranny replaced @ 80k and again at 150k. not good. |
How do you convince someone liking transsexual is not gay? I've been attracted to male-to-female trannies since puberty, and all my friends think I'm some kind of gay for that. I don't consider a tranny penis an extension of masculinity but a tool with which to dominate and pleasure a sexual partner. I love sucking on a tranny's penis, taking it in my rear, tasting the juices, but I am not attracted to a male face or form. How do you convince someone liking tranny penis is not gay? |
Who really cares if it is gay or not? Does it matter? *Rolls eyes*.
Anyway: a lot of people would say that being into dick if you're male is a pretty gay thing. But you can call it whatever you like. So WHAT, really? You're attracted to MtFs with d*cks. It is what it is, no matter if you apply the label "gay" to it or not. |
I have a question about tranny repair shops.? Why do all repair shops (I whent to 5 of them) try to con you in to getting a rebuild if you don't need one and why do they all try to act like they are your best friend they all suck at acting because you can tell that all they want is your money as evident with my encounter with Amco transmissions. As soon as I said thats way more exspensive than the competion, why do you charge so much money 2600 compared to (1400 to 1600) he almost immedatly stoped the whole I'm your friend bit and he said to me infront of other people because I can charge that much so if you don't like the price than go some where else. This really pissed me off and I think it made the other people their think twice about having there cars at such a poorly run shop. So before I left I told the guy that he was a peace of S%$T and that he should not be in biusness. I also felt like telling the rest of the tranny shops the same thing but this a hole just made me so mad. |
| Why do they charge so much, because they can. The most common failure in a transmission is seal and valve failure due to over heating. Most consumer's do not have a clue when it comes a tranny, so they are at the mercy of the shop. Find one of which may be able to repair and not rebuild it, then stick with that shop. You may in future want to change the oil and filter in the transmission when it needs to be changed. This will guaranty a long life. If you do the math. Oil and filter change, 100.00 to 200.00 dollars. A rebuild 1600.00 to 2700.00 dollars. Which makes sense. |
